Pop a few arrows from a distance, close in, send in the spiders, lay down some tentacles and flames, throw a few Frenzy Runes as I close in, start throwing Poison/Flame Runes once to the scene, keep people in line with Targe if they try to escape the tentacles while slashing with Mehrune's Razor. I don't start 'playing' until about lv70 or so.

I prefer to use the early game to develop my backstory using certain NPC's to give my 'backstory' alot more meat. I don't normally create any kind of backstory. I know many of you are playing consistent characters, and you guys probably invest a lot of thought into laying out a story that is appropriate for who your character is. Magey magey altmer (if I find a mod to make them somewhat less ugly) leading the college, searching arcane wisdom. The totally obvious one - a stormcloak Nord in heavy armor wielding large two-handed chunks of steel, starting in Windhelm to buy Hjerim, maybe building Heljarchen Hall into a bulky mancave later. Also I usually joined all the guilds simply because I like them all.īut that random style of playing is getting really boring, so I'm thinking of cleaning up my savegames and characters and starting 4-5 new ones who are consistent in their behavior, fighting techniques and factions. I never really experimented much with races or consistent characters before - always played Breton or Nord and ended up with a rather random character who did all sorts of nice things the one moment but ran off assassinating and stealing the other.
